God Bless Prime Minister Blair and their stance with the press in basically telling them to pound sand and go ask the dorks in Germany, France, Russia & China while they aren't support us.....I think we should start a new organization to replace the UN called Free United Kingdom and United States (you do the acronym, they didn't like it when I posted it here)

There is a non profanity name which can be applied to some of the members of the United Nations. They sat back and criticized and obstructed us, and they didn't want to help us remove an evil man and his evil regime. However, they want to be involved in a post-war rebuilding of Iraq. There is a name for such scum - CARPETBAGGERS!
To: SAMWolf
me too....I just didn't realize the no profanity thing was THAT strict...lol....I feel bad if I offended anyone :o) Well, we are all intelligent enough in here to do our own "math" on the acronym.

Wow, I was going to call them "catfish" because they are scum-sucking bottom dwellers that feed off the waste and biproducts of everyone else. :o)

You are simply too kind. I think of them more in the lines of pus leaking from a festering maggoty boil.
To: SAMWolf
eh...'s ok....wasn't trying to "get away" with anything...just thought the acronym was "cute" and appropriate! :o) I'll remember the asterik thing, though, if profanity is absolutely necessary, but I find you can usuallly get around swearing. ;o)

Well, it lacks the letter "C" so in theory, it is not a profanity. Still, it is probably best left to the reader to do his own spelling and draw his own conclusions. But I am sure most of us understand its intent, and we agree.
To: Enterprise
true true...since 99% of the people on the right have an IQ above 115 (if not higher)....I am sure we can all draw our own conclusions! :o)

Maybe not exactly familiar. It is from the American Civil War when the South entered a "rebuilding" stage. People saw there was money to be made and they threw as much as they could of their belongings into a "carpet bag" and rushed pell mell to the South. The term is used as a pejorative and connotes things like, hustler huckster, opportunist, swindler, etc.
To: Enterprise
"Maybe not exactly familiar."
You are correct in your explanation,,but it is a term I am fimiliar with. I forgot and left the sarcasm tag off. There is another term that kinda goes with it, SCALAWAG. Both from the reconstruction period. The worst 12 years the South ever had.
The Carpetbaggers also came South with money and bought up farms and other property at tax auctions. After the war, most people in the South were broke or dead and could not pay their taxes.
Thank you for your reply.

Ok. I wasn't sure when I read your post. However, after reading it, it is evident that you know far more than I do about the subject. You can see my intent on comparing some of these nations to carpetbaggers. They obstructed the United States. But after the war, they want a part in the rebuilding. BS. There is going to be billions of dollars involved, and what they really want is to skim and swindle their cut of the money.
To: Enterprise
"However, after reading it, it is evident that you know far more than I do about the subject. "
Now I wouldn't go as far as to say that. LOL!
Your comparison of the two, some of these nations to carpetbaggers, is dead on the money.
I think that the US being in the UN is a big mistake. I have never felt like we sould be dictated to by the other nations of the world. The best thing we could do, as a Nation, is to get out. IMHO
