It's back on the regular schedule as it was before the war which is what I'm complaining about.
The captioning schedule is as follows:
Mon-Fri 7 a.m until 11 p.m.
Now from 11 p.m. until five a.m. they used to do those reruns of the primetime shows and those were captioned b/c they were already captioned from the previous evening. Anytime they go to the latest update at the top of the hour (live) that wouldn't be captioned. Now that it's live through the evenings, NOTHING is captioned. Grrrr....
Weekends NONE except for a couple of hours in the evenings.
When the liberation began, Fox had continuous real time captioning UNTIL Tues. night at 11 pm. It was wonderful!! It appears they have gone back to their old captioning schedule. They did this before during the 9/11 event. They had real time captioning for like five days then stopped and went back to their old schedule. Dang, it's so frustrating for us deafies.
I've been working on this since last summer. I don't know what else to do. Except bombard them with demanding emails.
I even emailed Rush. rush@eibnet.com He's been through deafness and I thought he'd be sensitive to this issue. I was told he's friends with Roger Ailes. I have heard nothing. Perhaps you all could start bombarding Rush with this. Just an idea.
If you're curious, just turn on your cc on your TV after 11 pm or before 7 am and you'll see what I'm talking about. Just because you turn on your cc doesn't mean it's captioned. It's still up to the station who provides it.
I still say Fox News isn't fair and balanced b/c they are not thinking about the deaf viewers and I still ask how the heck can I decide if the news aren't captioned. C'mon Fox!!
Are there any other deaf FReepers in here? I would like to know how they feel about this issue. Would like to hear their input on this.
