I don't know if anyone else has noticed them, but Fox News is doing some AWESOME adds thanking and praying for our troops.
We are all good at writing angry e-mails when we feel passionate about something said or done that we disagree with. But how about we give an "atta boy" to Fox News. What they are doing is AWESOME!!!

Lets give em our Thanks for supporting our troops like NO OTHER NEWS Org is doing!!!
To: Vets_Husband_and_Wife
I *do* like the extras that they are doing. The only thing that bothers me is that the soldiers who greet their families during the commercial breaks all say "You are watching Fox News." If I was there, I'd want to tell Fox how much I love them, but don't whore our boys out when that airtime could be used to add a few extra words of encouragement to their families.

Good-idea bump.
I've noticed that too. Have heard, "...we're all praying for our brave men and women in Iraq" several times over the past week.

Bump. Fox (and Sky) are the only outlets that are on our side. They're accurate and even-handed, but they're cheering for the good guys. The others can't wait to find some bad news to report. The only difference between Al-Jazeera and CNN is that my cable company doesn't carry Al Jazeera.

That's what Geraldo does when he "gathers" a group of them to be his involuntary audience and program. Pretty sleazzzzy.

I understand what your saying, but it doesn't bother me because Fox News is the only organization even doing it. The good of it, overweighs any negative of it.

I like their new "War on Terror" / "Operation Iraqi Freedom" intro that they do at the top & bottom of each hour - with the jet turning into an eagle; it's awesome.

Yeah, us too. Last night was the first time I saw one of the "adds".. (for lack of a better word that comes to mind) and I'm a tough cookie.. but it brought tears to my eyes.
I know that the troops love it and appreciate it..and so do the families. (So do us Vets and every other American who supports the troops) :o)
FRegards, Vets

You've got it all wrong - Geraldo (and yes, I try to refrain from calling him Whorealdo post 9/11) did that to remind people that we're still active in Afghanistan and that important missions continue as the war in Iraq began. He did it to give exposure & accolades to the brave troops in the Afghan theatre and not only ensure they know they're not forgotten but to give it to the anti-war libs who say we can't do both at the same time. He deserves praise & thanks for his efforts and scorn for the rest of the media who've neglected our continuing Afghani efforts.

David Asman...his son is adopted and he volunteered because he said that David brought he and his mother to the United States and he wanted to repay this country for his freedom.

I see no whoring in giving a solider an opportunity to say hello to his or her parents during this conflict. I know I would have cherrished this type opportunity for my family to see and hear me from my conflict.

The guys and gals don't seem to think it's "whoring" them out. They ALREADY watch Fox News as does their families because Fox News is a HUGE supporter of our military and don't trash them like the others. What's wrong with them saying what they already think? They LOVE Fox News!!!

My only disappointment was the decision by Fox News to go back to regular evening programming.
I have contacted Fox in that regard.
We now go to other news channels during O'Reilly and H & C. I don't want to hear O'Reilly's talking points or listen to his email. Or have to listen to....or look at, Colmes
Bad decision on their part, imo.

We were both extremely upset with the Geraldo show where he had the troops all sitting there, and kept talking about the anarchists protests all night. He didn't mention ONCE all the "Support the troops" rallies that had just happened that day.
I sent PAGES of photo's (Links of the photo's) by e-mail to Fox!!
Now I'd like to see us promote the positives of their promo's showing our brave men and women, and their families.
I give em' heck when I'm upset.. but in this instance they are awesome!
Not to mention the fact that they really are supportive of our country and of our troops!
Remember, Geraldo is only getting what he hears and see's in the media. We all know that the SUPPORT rallies aren't being shown like they should be.
It ticked us off to see how bummed our troops looked when Geraldo kept mentioning the anti-American rallies.
He didn't even mention the approval ratings that had just come out that day showing an overwhelming SUPPORT of this war and our President and THEM, our TROOPS!!
I wrote to everyone at Fox that very night, during the show!!!
But I also think we need to accentuate the positive, which these clips are of our troops.

We love that too. The Eagle is screaming!! We used to listen to that sound all the time when we lived in Alaska and would go out fishing.
Way cool!!
