We will not tire, we will not falter, and we will not fail! [President Bush]
US Apache helicopters battled with the Iraqi Second Armored Brigade of the Medina Division. AA fire brought down at least one helicopter; Iraq claimed two craft were brought down.
Saddam addressed the people of Iraq and promised victory soon while discussing many of the recent battles.
Syria claims a US missile hit a bus near the Iraq/Syria border, killing five.
US forces are engaging the enemy at the Karbala Gap.
Fighting continues at An Nasariyah.
Among targets struck in Baghdad, coalition aircraft struck a building belonging to the Iraqi Air Force.
Air raid sirens sounded in the city of An Mawsil yesterday.
Two British soldiers are missing after a skirmish in southern Iraq.
US officials still have not determined what was in the plant they secured at the city of Najaf - about 90 miles south of Baghdad - though they do believe the center was part of the process of producing chemical weapons in Iraq.
US Marines secured a regional headquarters of the Ba'ath Party in Umm Qasr yesterday. In the building were stacks of American leaflets the Marines believed Ba'ath Party members rounded up so they wouldn't be seen by the population.
Remember to not let the victims of the attacks on New York and Washington, nor the brave members of our Nation's military who have given their lives to protect our freedom, die in vain!!
Remember the fallen - a list of American KIAs
For AMERICA - The Right Way, I remain yours in the Cause, the Chairman.
Bit - you're right on the ac designation.
Dog - last night Fox was showing flight ops on the Constellation. They were remarking about how it was neat watching the Hornets taking off.
The Hornet, if my two remaining brain cells are functioning properly, is the F-18, a craft with a single tail rudder.
What was lifting off the flight deck were twin-ruddered aircraft - the distinctive shape of the F-14 Eagle.
So much for reporters trying to help John Q. Public recognize aircraft.
Getting ready to get away from the computer and take a break.
Fox is showing another wave of B-52's leaving England.
Nope. Was traveling back home Sunday when it was going on. Listening to Mark Levin on WABC, I heard the tragic news of our troops and POWs while on the road. Have been saying lots of prayers the last few days, and will continue to do so for the troops for ever how long it takes.
Saw CNNs coverage of the Saturday anti-American rally though. Could only watch it for a second. I ended up surfing between FoxNews and PMSNBC. The anti-American rally in NYC was disgusting. It ticks me off beyond what I can express. The events of the past 24 hours in Iraqi just goes to show how wrong and irrelevent these protestors are, how brutal Saddam and his henchmen are, and how critical it is for the US to crush Saddam and his ilk, once and forever.
AMERICAS WAR ON TERROR Day 560
THE WAR ON IRAQ Day 6
The news as reported in The Washington Times:
[Note All links go to The Washington Times website.]
1. Iraqi irregulars attacked a convoy that got lost in southern Iraq and killed or captured 12 American soldiers.
[More people to add to the war criminal list as a result of that video.]
12 U.S. soldiers killed or captured
2. The United States expresses its disgust over the Iraqi videotape of American POWs.
[Soon, the fires of Hades will overtake their regime.]
U.S. calls footage of POWs 'disgusting'
3. The female American POW is the first since the UOx42 Administration repealed a rule restricting females from positions in the military likely to encounter combat or capture.
[Gee, what a nice guy.]
Female captive first since Pentagon altered rule
4. Roughly 7,000 showed up in Richmond, VA, to support the troops trying to topple the current regime in Iraq.
[Excellent!]
7,000 rally in Richmond to show support for troops
5. A Patriot missile downed an RAF fighter yesterday. Two British airmen are dead.
[Initial reports are the plane wasnt squawking the correct IFF code, so it wasnt identified as friendly.]
British jet downed by 'friendly fire'
6. Saddam is likely still alive.
[I think the most recent appearance by him, naming recent battles, puts that to rest. Its too bad we didnt get him.]
Saddam likely still alive; taped appearance queried
We shall not rest until we have cut a swath 60-miles wide through the entire left - taking all that is before us with us as we go. We shall leave nothing to the enemy that may be of value to him. We shall show him that he may count on nothing and will be able to keep nothing, not his spirit, not his soul, not that upon which he shall feed. We shall not cease until the moment we have rent through their entire land and have arrived at the sea, with our glorious victory upon us.

Now you have the info, go support the United States of America!!!
Major Garrett says that they are pretty sure it is a chemical weapons lab, but they haven't got the area secure enough to go in and do the testing with the mobile labs. First priority is the war, WMD verification comes a bit later.
President Bush has not watched the gruesome video. (Probably on advice of experts, IMHO.)
We have that terrorist stronhold in northern Iraq surrounded by lots of Kurds. We have done one air strike, taking out about 100 out of a force of 900. Another air strike on the way. We also have dropped about 200 Special Forces guys into the area to help the Kurds. Fox analyst says this shows how dangerous they think this group of people are.
I just got back from bicycling around a local lake, and, while I was out, I found a U.S. flag lying in the road that had obviously broken off of someone's car. Does the American Legion still have flag disposal facilities, or is there any other place I can take the flag so it can be properly retired? Thanks to all.
I should go take a shower. Hope there isn't any series news until I get back. *grins*
