What, are you people nuts!? Like W said, Islam is a religion of peace, what's the problem with some fundamentalists in our military?

Multiculturalism, laid bare.

I would love to hear an argument by someone here that we expel these chaplains from our military service. On what grounds could this be defended/accomplished?

On another note, the media smear has begun: reports are now indicating that the (Muslim) soldier who attacked in Kuwait was "acting strangely". Anyone else think this sounds like he's being made to look crazy, instead of faithful to his PEACEFUL religion?

Sadly, Clinton does not have a monopoly on this sort of stupidity ("Islam is a peaceful and loving religion"...)

Even better, I think it was on CNN or NBC, the reported from the NYTimes they were talking too was painfully dancing around the fact. He was like, oh yeah, he was.....weird....acting....strange. It was pathetic.

JIHAD IN THE PRESENT TIME

By: Hafiz Abdul Salam Bin Muhammad

As long as Allah’s Messenger Muhammad (PBUH) was in Makkah, he was not allowed to fight against the disbelievers,
though they (disbelievers) persecuted him and his followers. Then he migrated to Madina. But the disbelievers even then
were not ready to abandon the chase and leave him alone. So, at last, Allah made it permissible for him to fight:

-Sanction is given unto those who fight because they have been wronged; and Allah is indeed able to give them victory. (Al-Hajj: 39)

Then, a step forward, Allah made it binding on the Muslims to fight in His way:
-Warfare is ordained for you, though you dislike it. (Al-Baqarah: 216)

And now for all times to come Allah has made it binding on the Muslims to continue their fighting against the disbelievers,
until the following objectives are achieved.

THE FIRST OBJECTIVE OF JIHAD:
Elimination of Persecution

THE SECOND OBJECTIVE:
Dominance of Islam
( 'nuff said )

THE THIRD OBJECTIVE:
To Force the Disbelievers to Pay Jizya
( ahh, that's called extortion )

THE FOURTH OBJECTIVE:
To Help the weak and the Oppressed
(anyone they can use to further Islam)

THE FIFTH OBJECTIVE:
To Seek Revenge for the Murder of a Muslim
( Revenge. Now that's nice. And what of Justice? )

THE SIXTH OBJECTIVE:
To Punish those who violate their oaths.

THE SEVENTH OBJECTIVE:
To Fight to Defend
(whatever they feel like.)

THE EIGHTH OBJECTIVE:
To Recapture the Occupied Territory
(Includes Spain and the U.S. of A.)

the focal point of the chapel in the Wynne Unit of the Texas Department of Corrections system. That cross, inmates explain, will likely be removed. "It offends some of the Muslims," explains Eugene, a 35-year-old convict, doing time in this maximum-security facility for a violent crime. "So they’re talking about taking it out. Ain’t that something? It’s about the only thing in here doing any good."
The story then proceeds through various interviews and anecdotes that show how those from various perspectives and backgrounds have come to similar views.

Eugene, the 35-year-old inmate, has been locked up for 11 years now; he’s spent many hours thinking about what can change a criminal’s heart. "People talk a lot about education," he says. "Let me tell you, there’s a whole lot of educated people in prison. Education doesn’t do it. Buildings don’t do it. You’ve got to change a man’s heart. Then you’ll see some rehabilitation."
Chuck Colson served time in prison two decades ago, in the wake of the Nixon administration’s Watergate scandal. He, too, emphasizes changing hearts. . . .

The article ends where it began, with Eugene pointing to the cross and saying:

"Another thing I know is that if I had not been sent here, I’d be in the ground by now. Here is where God talked to me."
He looked over at the threatened cross, and added, "They took God out of schools. Hope they don’t do that here."
