Full time student (7 weeks from gradutation), part time construction worker, christmas tree cutter, greenhouse worker, any cash paying odd job that helps to pay the bills. Motorcycle mechanic when time and money allow.

Anyone need to hire a good ultraconservative, pro logging wildlife biologist? I'm available as of May 10th

I'm a lady, so I'll take your word for it.

Free Republic has something of a reputation in many circles as being home of raving mad fanatics or rednecks.

I am a raving mad fanatic and a redneck.

Professional musician (R&B singer)/jingle singer/session vocalist...worked at The Evil Empire™ (also known as "a large software company based in Redmond, Washington") for a little while - made a lot less money, got a lot more respect.

Go figure.

College Professor at a major state university. (22 years).

I come to you directly from the belly of the beast, PCU. Our President sent out a spam email today stating that we should welcome all views on the war and that we should hold discussion groups and teach-ins. She wants to allow both views of the war, both anti-war and anti-Bush.

She was quite disturbed when I wore a Smith and Wesson shirt with a Ruger tie to a recent faculty event. The next time she saw me, I was wearing an Enron shirt and a Worldcom tie.

I'm looking forward to greeting her on the street in my Navy peacoat (my own military issue still fits) and Bushmaster hat.

It's actually kind of fun being the only conservative in the building. One of my favorite activities is to take people to lunch at the shooting range.

Them: You have guns!?!?!
Me: Yup, lots of them. Let's go shooting tomorrow at lunch.

I usually bring about a dozen handguns and my Bushmaster AR15. I let them shoot the S&W 686 .357 (with mild .38 special loads). Then I move them up to the 1911. Finally, we shoot clay targets on the 100 yard burm with the Bush (with a scope).

I have created at least a dozen gun nuts on campus.

Low-level Administrator at a library on the campus of a large university located deep in the heart of the inner city. People must assume that everyone who gets a job here is at least some kind of Socialist if not an outright Communist. Librarians are big on anything that requires funding via state-sponsored theft. And they hate anything having to do with opposition to tyranny.

Just this week, several of our Librarians put their names on an anti-war ad in the campus newpaper. And a couple of them went and got themselves arrested during the local edition of the nationwide protests. They may still be in jail for all I know. Let them stay there until their little green buttons from International A.N.S.W.E.R. are just disks of rust.

Yes, I'm cranky. It's late on a Friday night and I have a lot to be cranky about. But who wouldn't be cranky after working amidst a bunch of nominal enemy combatants all week?

Started my working career as a deli clerk after graduation from high school in 1969. moved up to deli manager then bought a Pepperidge Farm bread and roll franchise. Sold the franchise after 2 years at a nice profit and became Assistant Director of Sales for Goodwill Industries and left that to work in a machine shop for Loraine Crane in Chattanooga Tennessee. At the age of 27 enlisted in the Marine Corps reserves. After boot camp at Paris Island was assigned to an artillary unit in Chattanooga, TN (155mm howitzers) while working at the crane manufacturing company. In 1981 Loraine Crane Co. decided to move back to Loraine, Ohio and at the age of 31 I went active duty marine. My first enlistment was as a euphonium player in the marine corps depot band at San Diego recruit training depot. I re-enlisted for avionics and after a year of intense training was assigned to VMA-533, Cherry Point, NC where I worked on the avionics equipment aboard the A6 Intruder aircraft. The squadron was attached to the USS John F. Kennedy aircraft carrier and I did a mediterranean cruise patroling Mohamar Khadafi's "Line of Death". After being injured aboard the carrier I left the corps and went to work for what was at the time Lockheed, now United Space Alliance as a tile technician. After 9 months I posted for a job in payloads where I installed payloads in the shuttle's payload bay. After two years I moved on to Environmental Control System where the temperature, pressure and humidity were controlled within the PCR, (Payload Changeout Room) and the Shuttle payload bay while it was at either pad A or B. In the mean time I attended Barry University and in December of 2001 received my BS degree in Information Technology, (computers have been a hobby for me since 1969 when I typed RPG code into a keypunch machine for the then state of the art IBM model 360/20 mainframe. After obtaining the degree I moved up to Computer Science Staff and loaded software in firing rooms 1,2, and 3 for shuttle launches. Next, I moved on to Desktop Services and 8 months ago joined the IT Security team. I am currently attending University of Miami's Master of Science in Management of Technology program and at the age of 52 am looking forward to at least another 20 productive years. Thanks for asking and may God continue to guide and direct our leaders...
