Nuts, old edition "ping" is not listed. Try this instead

Well, not REALLY like a submarine ping.

(That's more like "Hey, we know where you are. Here comes the firepower!")

A 'ping' is when you address your reply to a notepad list of your favorite freepers so they see the thread/message when they click 'my comments' (which lights up whenever they receive a reply)...
