Yes, her father was the steel guitar player for the band and is currently a record producer. Her uncle is a county commissioner and his wife was a newscaster now in public relations. So yes, she inherited the Maines musical talent

Thank you sir. I remember well the Maines Brothers Band. Too many weekend nights at the old "Coldwater Country" at South University and Loop 289. Have only been back to Lubbock 3 times since 1981 when I graduated from Tech. Lots of fond memories.

Lloyd Maines? He's terrific. Not only a great producer, but a wonderful session guitarist as well. I've also seen him hit the road and play bar gigs with his artists. Hope he doesn't share his daughter's vapid left-wing political views.

BTW, my spanish speaking comrade, I think we both had a few of the details about the Maines wrong. I think that MN has the details correct.
