Dubya, I saw a terrific tagline yesterday and I can't remember who wrote it but it said, "I may disagree with what your bumper sticker says, but I will defend to the death your right to stick it."
If I recall correctly, that was Teacher Bella's tagline. It's Xena with the great tagline.

That was great!
Good for Pocatello..............
Wish I could take credit but they did it on their own.
To: Xenalyte
Oh, I am. And if your tagline is with it, I envy them both! But that must have been painful for you.

Yer takin' SR? Right on, Bob...
Though why anybody would rather futz around with that sh!t is beyond me. Lennard-Jones 6-12, autoionization, resonant neutralization, quasimolecular promotion to continuum state levels, that's more my speed.
I.e., don't ask me. I'll just refer you to what a pompous but wise prof of mine said years and years ago. "Students," he said, "Students, ALWAYS refer to the invariant."
Which goes something like E^2 = (cp)^2 + (mc^2)^2 if I recommember correcitally...

I've always thought Miss Xena had a GREAT tagline... Great taglines, Batman! Gaddzooks! Shazzam!
(But who's lookin' at her straightlines anyway? I'm always more impressed with the impressions her curved lines make.... But that's just me.) (Ducks as xsex aims foot at shin.)
To: maxwell; Cyber Liberty
Yassir, that's me. SR out the yingyang.
(Need it for a refresher class to keep the engineering license, and I figured since I'm interested in cosmology (as the ancient wandering sheepherders in Palestine defined it before the BB, evolution, and plate tectonics were re-invented: "Let there be plasma. And there were fluids created in the void....")
So anyway, I've got the relativity "easy" job of at least makin' a strong B. Daughter's enrolled in it as well, but her interest is stayin' in the field for a graduate degree in astrophysics through UT Austin, so she's working harder than I.
(Can't figure why he's spending so much on 4-vector transformations, all in the stated purpose of "making it easier to write equations" - when the same answer is derived from the straight Lorentz transformations the regular way. Ah well. Next section is General Relativity, then into the black holes and general cosmology.)

Yer takin' SR? Right on, Bob... Though why anybody would rather futz around with that sh!t is beyond me that's what i said to robt, maxie. SR is totally for poseurs....; ) not near rigorous enough for us serious math and science types.....

Xena, I'm sorry I couldn't remember that you were the author of the great tag line or I certainly would have given you credit for it.
One of the reasons it really hit me is because I was involved recently in a heated argument with two very liberal friends and they both ended their comments to me with, "Although I don't agree with what you are saying......."
Their comment lacked any semblance of sincerity. I know they have bumper stickers plastered on their vehicles and when an opportunity arises, I plan on smiling and repeating your comment to them. It should prove interesting.
Take care,
EODGUY
