On Monday, I gave this word as an alternate for some students. It's all in good fun, but you do know that I get irked sometimes.

kvetch\KVECH\, intransitive verb:
kvetch, noun

To complain habitually.

noun:
1. A complaint.
2. A habitual complainer.

Etymology: Kvetch comes from Yiddish kvetshn, "to squeeze, to complain," from Middle High German quetzen, quetschen, "to squeeze."

by the way, yesterday, xsbrownie's tutor told me that the Director at her Montessori school gave each teacher and EMERGENCY bag for the classoom, containing duct tape, bubble wrap, flashlight, batteries, animal crackers, goldfish and there is a water cooler in each classroom.

i read on another thread this AM that after 9/11, when bubba was out walking the streets of NYC and feeling people's pain that Brian Kilmeade went up to him and asked if he felt responsible. do you know if that is true? i may have to marry him if he did that.

Well, prepare to divorce your hubby, because I recall reading about that Fox reporter myself. Unfortunately, I never saw the footage--one of the great tragedies of my life--but I believe it caused a bit of a ruckus at the time.

Have you heard about Eric Alterman kvetching that Rush Limbaugh should've gone deaf? He also evidently added some comment to the effect that the world would be a better place without Limbaugh's listeners on it.

This is Alterman's way of proving that there is a right-wing bias in the media.

how does Fox&Friends work for you people living on the other side of the country? it is over on the east coast at 9 am when you guys would be getting up, is it tape delayed or is it shown in the middle of the night?
