In order that we might all raise the level of discourse and expand our language abilities, here is the daily post of “word for the day”. Rules: Everyone must leave a post using the “word of the day”; in a sentence. The sentence must, in some way, relate to the news of the day. Teacher's note:
On Monday, I gave this word as an alternate for some students. It's all in good fun, but you do know that I get irked sometimes.
kvetch\KVECH\, intransitive verb:
kvetch, noun
To complain habitually.
noun:
1. A complaint.
2. A habitual complainer.
Etymology: Kvetch comes from Yiddish kvetshn, "to squeeze, to complain," from Middle High German quetzen, quetschen, "to squeeze."

Be patient. The 101st isn't in position yet, they're just shipping out of Ft. Campbell. The 4th is still enroute. We need a fourth carrier still, another squadron of Buffs and the MAU that's on its way from Pendleton.
