MARK A SITY OUR HOPE IS THE BOMBS 2/9/03
OUR HOPE IS THE BOMBS
Our people are starving and living in fear, for many we are afraid that the end is near.
Our leaders they say we cannot eat today, and that it is all because of the USA.
Our leaders of course, eat well every day; they live in great palaces, but that is their right so they say.
Our hope is the bombs, may they set us free; we are tired of living in a tyranny.
Our fear is not of war, we can live through that, our fear is that we will have to keep living under that fat cat.
Our prayers are that the job be done this time, until Saddam is dead the war is not won.
Saddam must go, there is only one way, we must pray for the USA.

PS. Well, for a second attempt at a pro-war poem it went pretty well. I don't expect it to be published in any book of great poems, since it's not. But then again, are there any great poems? I always thought it was a silly format. If anyone wants to adapt this in any way I hold no claims to rights; feel free to "steal" it, with my blessings. I'll try to get it on a poetry web site, but don't hold your breath! It would be great for a counter-protest though. One of us needed to take on the anti-war nuts on their turf. I hope you all appreciate the sacrifice I made here; because I hate poetry!
