In todays's context, as the article stated, Darwinism means a belief than man descended from animals without divine intervention, and that is believed by most educated people.

I would re-phrase it "descended from animals through natural biological processes." The existence vel non of divine intervention is something science does not speak to, either to affirm or deny. I personally believe that humanity was created by God using natural forces, which He created knowing them to be sufficient to achieve His purposes.

I agree. It is when supernatural intervention is invoked to cause some action that could not occur naturally that science is left behind, and superstition, OK theology, reigns supreme.
