As we all know, at least the FReepers that own companies, times are tough, and my get tougher.

I have a real estate business here in Austin.

I have 12 web sites, we have been paying per click fees to companies that you have to bid for key words in the major search engines. It cost me $25,000 since October.

We have tried companies that promise you to be in the top 10 searches. For a fee of course to be paid up front for 12 months.

I want to give each of my agents thier own web site. We will host, update, etc, but I need to direct them to the best way, with a budget in mind how to get the best exposure on the web.

I do not have a clue. Please you sales folks for these types of services, do not lead them astray. It is their money.

What's your current web site? There are many options that can be better than ppc.

The $25k sounds a bit bit high, but that depends on your click through rate and your actual $$$ sold through the clicks. In some markets, it could be the best method.

There are plenty of alternative sources that have a better return. Just takes a bit of imagination at times.
