Since the original story, I was unaware the animal rights activists had raised a stink.
Just the same, it looks like some good came out of their concern.
Swimming around in a tub for 33 years, I would think even an eel would appreciate a little change of scenery now and then. The pipe would seem to provide that. It might be nice also if they put in a little aquarium gravel and some aquatic plants. 33 years of white enameled porcelin has GOT to be pretty doggone boring.
