Just when we think we can rely on a theory to explain a phenomenon, along comes an exception. Now that one spiral galaxy has been found with energetic radio lobes, we'll probably find more.

As Sam Clemens (Mark Twain) said,

A mystery! Every once in a while such a mystery comes along to provide an opportunity for a young student to go for a doctorate and answer this mystery.
