Making personal attacks does nothing for any of us.. But almost all of us have either given up, or been so flustertated that we just let go.

I've only seen a very few posters follow the rules of debate. Since we're not perfect I would not have been surprise if all of us slipped up once or two. A google search on "rules of debate" are pretty cool. I don't know if you ever witnessed any debates in highschool. I was a judge for our debate team. It was just awesome..

Kim! I was on my H.S. debate team, too! And we did have to alternate pro and con. (I remember fossil fuel vs. non-fossil fuel debates. Scintillating stuff! LOL)

It is very frustrating to be discussing the case and the facts therein and have someone constantly stating untruths, and in the most EMPHATIC WAY! I know I was a bit peeved last night with the constant misstatements accompanied by lectures on who has the facts and who is discussing the facts.

A perfect illustration is my post #670 where I'm listening to River on the radio tell what is in the documents and UCANSEE2 posts a hysterical reply in #676 ranting on about this post and he has clearly misunderstood what I wrote.

My post clearly said that in the docs Ott describes what Westerfield said to him, Ott.

UCANSEE2 goes on a tear thinking River is telling about something Westerfield said to her.

This was just the latest in a long line of examples of something being twisted out of all recognition.

Sigh.
