Vanity-List Your Magazine & Periodical Subscriptions
01/04/03 | Self

OK, so what are Freepers reading these days? I've often presumed magazine subscriptions did a decent job of reflecting an individuals interests and politics..... should be interesting to note any recurring pubs....one might also learn something about what sort of print media remains popular.

List only those publications that are mailed to your home or to you personally at work.

Picking it up in line at the grocery store doesn't count!

Based on some of the comments I've read on this site in the past, there must be several that subscribe to this.

Dead tree publishing is so quaint.

To save time weeding through junk, I replaced every subscription this past year with either a free or paid subscription to the electronic editions of the following:

1. Dallas Morning News (leftist, but good business section).
2. Wall Street Journal.
3. Forbes.
4. National Review.

When The American Spectator legal problems occurred, I switched to americanprowler.org.

Fortunately, I get free Nexis through my employer, which supplements the above.

OK, here goes:

Classic Record Collector
Stereophile
The Absolute Sound
The Audiophile Voice

I used to write for PrimylVinyl, but the owner decided to call it quits. And of course, Fi and Listener have gone out of business.

I have 3000 classical LPs and $30K worth of stereo equipment. No CDs.
