In order that we might all raise the level of discourse and expand our language abilities, here is the daily post of word for the day. Rules: Everyone must leave a post using the word of the day; in a sentence. The sentence must, in some way, relate to the news of the day. The Review threads are linked for your edification. ;-) Practice makes perfect.....post on....

In case I don't get a chance to say it later:
GO BUCKEYES!!
I'm a great cook
It says on the bathroom walls around here that you REALLY cook...
In Montreal the bathroom walls say: "Pour une G.T.O.S.S.T. appellez Pourquoiest-cequ'unefilledeTexasestdanslaPennsylvanie!"
Which is really something because I haven't heard the expression G.T.O.S.S.T. since aboot 1971!
(Grosse Tabarnac d'Orgie Super-Swing Tabarnac. That expression would send an English Quebecker into gales of writhing laughter but it probably won't do much around here.)
(Tabarnac=tabernacle=the worst swear word in Quebec French, equivalent to our Middle English four-letter beaut for "an action attempting to propagate the human species", so to speak)
It was a source of enormous hilarity when the Montreal Gazette published a number of years ago that in touristy parts of Mexico, Quebeckers are referred to as "los tabernacos".
The newest element in the periodic table, discovered by two gay scientists in San Francisco.
rofl!
BTW, are there any other kind of scientists in SF???
*B!tch.
