Lawn Darts are a game that combine horseshoes and darts. You toss the darts at a ring. If the dart lands within the ring you get three points. If the dart lands within a darts length of the ring you get one point. The first team to 11 or 21 wins. The Consumer Product Safety Commission had these things banned in the 80's because of injuries. Hell yeah they could be dangerous, but they went too far when they banned a fun family game. The CSPC has banned all sales of these in the US, and they asked people to destroy them if they had them in possession.

Can't you make your own? It doesn't sound as if there's any law against that. You could even buy a set on E-bay -- available right now with the phony disclaimer "This Game is Only for Display As it Can Be Dangerous. It is in excellent condition with six Darts the box is well worn but the instructions are readable. Remember these are for DISPLAY ONLY!!"

I think the guy who decided jarts were worthy of attention was clunked in the head one too many times by stray horseshoes.
