But do you really figure somebody who's been drinkin' all evening could remember five verses ...

Since most people, as I, can stumble through only the first .. which even repeats itself.

I actually went to BabelFish and played with an English-French-German-English translation, but it got so messy, I had to quit.

The title came out "Auld long Syne (everyone of the five original worms)"

Wonder if there is a secondary meaning in that?
