Through the media and demoRATS constant barrage of yelling "racism", Lott is being railroaded out of his job. Does he deserve it? No! What did he say that was so wrong? Nothing. Are words being interpreted of what he meant? Yes! He needs support not condemnation. What's being done to him is a concerted effort by democrazy elites to eliminate him politically. Wouldn't be surprised to learn that Hitlery is knee deep into this smear campaign? About a year ago, she, being a new junior senator, refused to adjourn a late night session of the senate re the budget due to Thurmond's obvious exhaustive state. Understandably, the vote was crucial to both sides, but it didn't have to happen that particular late evening. Give Lieberman credit when he tried to adjourn for the benefit of Thurmond but to no avail since Hitlery overruled him. Now because Lott gave Thurmond, centenarian, a tribute of a view vague words, Lott is now being crucified. This very same method by the democrazies elite and the liberal media was used on Reagan's Secretary of Interior in the early 80's to drum him out of office. Should we as FReepers stand by and let this happen again by the obvious racists democrazies? Absolutely not!

This is exactly how I feel about it as well. Democrats are playing hardball to get control of the Senate, and we are helping them. But it's partly Lott's fault. He should have just apologized once if he thought his comments were taken out of context and then said no more about it, just let his supporters speak for him.

Now it looks like the liberals over the next two years are going to get more legislatively than they ever would have gotten through the ballot box, no matter what happens now.
