It could be that they haven't read the books yet and are afraid to post something silly or worse yet, have one of respond with "Oh everybody knows that!" You know what I mean? No one likes to feel dumb.

Or maybe it's similar to what happened to me. I was just intimidated in joining a thread where everyone had such a tight-knit group already. I was afraid of being kind of "unwelcomed", if you take my meaning. There some "other" folks on FR that seem to delight on acting haughty and I've been burned before.
But I am so very happy I found this place and made such AWESOME friends! I can't imagine where I'd be without my Hobbit Hole "therapy". *grin*
But you brought food when you came! Food is always welcomed.
Now you're a part of us and we'd like ya even if you didn't cook for us.
I totally understand that one. I was nervous first posting here... I felt like I would be intruding. But I stuck my nose in anyway and you guys turned out to be somewhat ok ;-)
