I as well. I was more of a Band Geek, although I was on the Academic Decathalon team for a while.

I was the Smart Nerd in high school...

I was captain of our school's High School Quiz Bowl team my senior year. This was a TV show put on by the local PBS station; 4 person teams from each high school in the region, competing to buzz in and answer questions. I was a member of the team my junior year, and captain my senior year.

By the fourth time I was on TV I had learned that I could wear tennis shoes with my suit, since our feet never appeared on camera...
