I fried up a bunch of okra and onions with sausage then then stewed in some tomatoes this afternoon. Made some rice to go with it. Also, fixed up some pasta, half of it for a cold pasta salad to go with the maters and peppers coming in from the garden. The other half of the pasta with some spaghetti sauce that's been in the freezer since I cooked up all the food for company back in May.
So, I got a fridge full of meals for myself this week. That will be handy.

Don't it feel good? I just feel good when I know there's food in the fridge! There have been times (in the past) where I'd open the fridge and be filled with angst! LOL
Today my Angel Food came in! Do you remember me talking about that? Where you order the food in advance, and pay for it in advance and then pick it up? We picked ours up today so the larder if pretty full, especially since the garden seems to be producing so well! Steve made two HUGE batches of salsa this morning! All fresh. Except no cilantro...which is extra nice, but not really required, imo

This is rather vague, imo...what's tender??
Why can't they just say "Cook 'em for 30 minutes 27 seconds?"
Turnip Greens
3 lbs frozen turnip greens
1 cup diced ham or 6 strips of bacon
Place frozen greens in boiling water. Season with ham or bacon. Cook until tender. Do not over cook.
