Wow... Before watching all these details about LoTR it really never occurred to me that they didn't use the audio from their on-screen performance, let alone that the voice might be recorded two years after the picture, like this case. It is much harder to make a movie, this movie, than ever becomes obvious to those watching!

What do they think about how TTT has been received? The ticket sales have been so good, are they overly worried about the nit-pickery purists? If I had put that much work into something, I would be a little hurt by some of the criticisms. Are they? Or do the raves from the rest of the fans balance it out?

Everyone at New Line is stunned that TTT has done 40% better (at this point anyway) than LOTR. They can't believe it because the box office numbers mean that more people have seen TTT than saw LOTR and since TTT makes no attempt to bring the audience up to speed on the story, that's really remarkable.

I kinda thought more people were going back to see it a second time because TTT is so much more complex and jam-packed with story. I'm sure their research dept. will be all over this trying to figure it out. It's pretty neat though.
