I understand about the distractions.... I've had plenty of my own. In brief: my aunt has been diagnosed with early stage senile dementia (possibly Alzheimer's) and we have arranged to move her to an "assisted living" facility closer to us....
As far as Peace Like a River though, you will love it! I know you will.... It is quirky, creative, and unique.
As far as entmoot, I'm not sure at this point. I think I will just have to play it by ear and see if I can "get away" with it closer to the last minute.... I would like to come with my son, Will, for at least a couple of days.... That "castle" looks cool! Is 5 bedrooms enough, though? I kind of like my privacy anyway, so a hotel room near the beach would be fine with me....

I'm bringing my son too. Some of us are offering to sleep on the floor or even out on the deck so we'll have enough room. But there are several who will be staying in hotels as well.

Sorry about your aunt... It is hard to lose touch with someone like that.
Well, what I need to do is learn to turn the TV and the computer off and read. It was not so long ago that I used to do that.
But there is always news, and the war. Now I should turn off the TV before something else happens that needs my undivided attention.
There are enough bedrooms because many of us don't mind camping out on the couch or wherever... In fact, with at least ten of us going, only one of the bedrooms has been definitively "claimed". So, if you could commit, you could probably get a room.
The singles and the adventurers will crash wherever. I may bring a tent and sleep in the dunes.

Sorry about your aunt. Those decisions are rough. But I'm glad she has you and your family.
My m-i-l will be moving in with us sometime over the summer.
