Two weeks ago, we were sure to lose this war and they were reporting that thousands of body bags had been ordered.

One week ago we were slaughtering a country and killing children.

Yesterday we were a oppressive regime hated by the locals and sure to be mired down and killed.

They are so ticked off that everything they postulated about and made fun of us for was wrong. (being fools, believing the president, believing in the humanity of our soldiers) They are seeing before their very eyes that they were wrong, and they can't figure out how to handle it. They are breaking up into the "Don't believe what you see, this is a lie" to "OK so maybe I said this war was a mistake but...." "Someone come up with something negative for us to talk about here! - Find me some dirt on this! - If this succeeds we are toast!"

What's especially amusing to me is that if anyone dares to say anything even SLIGHTLY supportive of this war (or Bush, who they hate so much it's ludicrous!), the other DUers turn on that person and scold them. No conservatives can do ANY right, I guess! It's funny.
