Someone got on the loud speaker on top of the mosque (sp?) telling them all to back away from the statue lol. It'd be a shame if people got hurt when that thing comes down!
A US tank moved in to help them bring it down...a heavy duty chain just went around it.

Heh.... Now our soldiers are helping them out. This is a tough statue! Tried a bit of symbolism with our US flag over his head... but someone decided against it. Now we shall see if the big tank can pull it over.
Will be a little embarrassing if it can't!
