Cute pics. Cute cat. I have a technique that has always worked for me. I keep a pocket of cookies or hot dog pieces, what ever they like alot, and several times a day I say the word 'cookie' in a high pitched kinda happy voice. And when they come they get their snack. Then, when they are in those situations all I have to do is holler cookie in that voice and they come running. Even if I have nothing, they find out too late, Gotcha.

That is what I recommended she do, but even more intense as a corrective action. I told her to put the dog's entire daily ration of food in her pocket each morning for the next week or so, and feed him *nothing* that doesn't come from her hand when he comes to her. Within a day or two she will have his complete attention all the time. He is not obstinate, but scared.

My friend the pro dog trainer who takes in adult dogs that are strangers for training as police dogs, uses that method to get a new dog's attention. Within a day, he is their everything.

The Oscars were not really that bad, almost all behaved, and the decorum made Michael Moore look like such an ass that even Hollywood booed him.

Silver lining:

Joan Rivers talking with Sean Astin. When Sean Astin, wearing a flag pin, was asked to send a message to our troops overseas. He said:

~"Before the fighting started, I prayed on bended knee for peace. Now, though, I am praying on bended knee for peace AND victory. Come home safe and bless you all."
