The Hobbit Hole III - Journey to the Cross-roads!

Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
Journey to the Cross-roads
The Two Towers Edition
Come on! Come in! -if you would like to have some seedcakes and a pint and relax a while. (If it is a special occasion, we still have a few bottles of the old wineyards left!)
Our first thread ( New Zealander builds Hobbit hole ) reached 4,100 posts, and we thought that was big. Our second thread (The New Hobbit Hole ) held us for over 48,000 posts, and we loved it dearly. We talked about moving to a new thread for the last 38,000 posts, but we are really slow to muster! Finally, the time has come. Tomorrow (at 12:01 am, to be precise!) The Two Towers comes out, and we start a new chapter.

I just opened a separate browser window in an attempt to stay caught up with both work and Hobbiton! LOL!
Glen had a lot more fun than he thought he would. He had some serious trepidation at first about the whole "moot" thing. His logical thinking brain just had trouble adjusting to the thought of meeting perfect strangers for lunch and a movie. :)
Now, he is very happily looking forward to Entmoot. Especially since he now knows some faces to the names! *grin*
Last night, when I was trying to catch up on the posts, he asked, "So what's going on in the Hole?" It's great because when I tell him who said what, he now knows who I'm talking about and doesn't even look perplexed when I call folks by their screen names! Tee hee!
It has taken him.

Funny isn't it! It's beyond me how it happens...but I'm glad it happens! If given a choice, they would rather be out in the shop banging on some piece of wood or something than inside baking cookies...although when I'm done they are certainly right there ready to eat them! LOL

DT: You are our Vim.
Vim: And do you trust your Vim?

How cozy!
My sister came over last night, so I didn't watch a single minute of the game. We watched Trading Spaces on TLC, 10 Most Fabulous Bathrooms on HGTV (I didn't see yours though- HAHA!) and The Pet Psychic on Animal Planet.

Cute! They look like they're really paying attention...
I took advantage of the Super Bowl to do my grocery shopping. I pretty much had the whole story to myself! It was great...all the Super Bowl sales going on, and I could take my time looking through everything.

Looks like Dad and the boys were having a good time. Did they do the right thing and root for the Bucs? ;^)
Did the little ones make it until the end?
I must admit that football season is one time I miss having cable. My boys have started liking football and would watch the games if we could get them piped into the house. *sigh*

Breakfast, thanks, and I am hungry this morning. Coffee, coffee yessss, we wants it, we neeedsss it.

We watched Trading Spaces on TLC We watch TS on Saturday nights. Is it just me or have they told Doug and Kim (? is that right. new designer, African American?) to tone it down?
Doug made several references Saturday night that the fireplace wouldn't make anybody cry (he's done that before).
BTW, when I win the HGTV Dream Home, we can move Entmoot to our house in the Panhandle...
To: HairOfTheDog
I didn't see much of it either. I was busy cooking for the Shiremen.

Glen had a lot more fun than he thought he wouldI'm hoping for a similar change of mindset in my Susan.... I have a little damage control to do...
To: RMDupree
I would tell him not to worry.
There are people posting here for whom the computer is a huge mystery. How they manage to post, is an even bigger mystery, but they do!

You know, just the thought of Kattan as gollum and I start to laugh. He would have likely made a good gollum in the films. Without any CGI at all. He's so weird. I picture he looked a lot like that monkey thing he does, Mr. Peeples, or whatever it is.

(I gotta do one -- Gondor has no CGI, Gondor needs no CGI.)
