The Hobbit Hole III - Journey to the Cross-roads!

Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
Journey to the Cross-roads
The Two Towers Edition
Come on! Come in! -if you would like to have some seedcakes and a pint and relax a while. (If it is a special occasion, we still have a few bottles of the old wineyards left!)
Our first thread ( New Zealander builds Hobbit hole ) reached 4,100 posts, and we thought that was big. Our second thread (The New Hobbit Hole ) held us for over 48,000 posts, and we loved it dearly. We talked about moving to a new thread for the last 38,000 posts, but we are really slow to muster! Finally, the time has come. Tomorrow (at 12:01 am, to be precise!) The Two Towers comes out, and we start a new chapter.

Sorry WN! I didn't get a cheeseburger after all.
Glen knew I'd been kind of depressed since I haven't lost much of my baby weight yet and nothing fits. So, he took me to Marshall's and let me get 3 pairs of jeans and a new pair of sneakers. My feet grew another half size after Alyson, so know I'm up to an 8 and a half. I was a seven and half before kids!
It's days like these that I remember why we're still together, even if he can be a royal pain in the you-know-where sometimes. But then again, I guess the same could be said about me. Especially when Auntie Flo comes to visit. :)

Glen knew I'd been kind of depressed since I haven't lost much of my baby weight yet and nothing fits. New clothes are always good. You should adopt my philosophy:
If you can't hide it, decorate it.
To: Corin Stormhands
If you can't hide it, decorate it. Thanks Corin. As long as I can keep laughing about it, I won't focus on my 103 pound little sister when she comes over in a tank and shorts. *grrrrr*
My other sister (the computer wiz) and I had agreed to exercise and diet together, but I just can't keep up. You need free time (not to mention energy) to exercise and will power to diet. Sadly, I lack both at this time.
It's too hard to eat the right things when you're starving and the baby's crying and the only quick-food is a twinkie and a glass of milk!

It's too hard to eat the right things when you're starving and the baby's crying... True. And in reality, there's no use trying to diet when you're under stress.
To: Corin Stormhands
True. And in reality, there's no use trying to diet when you're under stress. I'm going to make a button to wear that reads:
Don't stress me out! I'm trying to diet!

"Stressed" spelled backwards is "Desserts."

Farrier has come and gone now.
Horses got their toes trimmed.
I'm hungry.
To: HairOfTheDog
Guess what? I got an e-mail saying my DSL is ready! Which means IF the install package is there when I get home (which, considering my luck, is doubtful), I'll have high speed access this weekend! Woo-hoo!
To: HairOfTheDog
I've got to run down for a quick appointment. Be back in about 10 minutes.

Farrier has come and gone now. Sheesh! I thought you said Faramir...
To: Corin Stormhands
HA! - I like my farrier, and he does have a kind of rugged look about him!
He said I am his favorite customer, because Bay is so nice for shoeing, and also because I brought the horses in to dry off and de-mudded them before he got there. He said most folk aren't that considerate.
To: HairOfTheDog
...and also because I brought the horses in to dry off and de-mudded them before he got there. Well, tidying up for company is a very hobbity thing to do.

HI all, just popping in briefly to ask if any of you remember a couple of years ago a particular album promoted by Rush Limbaugh produced by a couple of guys out of Indiana (I think) it was rap music, but with a definitive conservative slant. I am trying desperately to remember the name of the group/organization...for some reason I keep thinking it started with a 'C'...
Its bugging me to no end, but there is no way I can get into Rush's exclusive stuff in order to find out. Can anyone help me?
am also trying to talk my hubby into getting a little Scotty dog...I think I will name him 'boo radley'!!!

To: Corin Stormhands
Hey Corin, can you spell Alkhin's name right?
To: Corin Stormhands

Only musicians I remember the EIB popularizing were Paul Silhan, Paul Shanklin, the dude who did "ButterFly Kisses", that Band that does the Christmas music, and I can't recall any others...except the Pretenders...LOL!!
I'd like to hear the answer when you find out...MUD
