Our first thread ( New Zealander builds Hobbit hole ) reached 4,100 posts, and we thought that was big. Our second thread (The New Hobbit Hole ) held us for over 48,000 posts, and we loved it dearly. We talked about moving to a new thread for the last 38,000 posts, but we are really slow to muster! Finally, the time has come. Tomorrow (at 12:01 am, to be precise!) The Two Towers comes out, and we start a new chapter.

See, this is why I lurked for so long.... I get into these times when there's absolutely no way I can have time to participate. And it's awful!! Just awful!!! I want to play EVERY day.

Know this is a late reply to this question but I think you ought to post if you didn't already. Remember when we met in Austin and one of us who WASN'T even a lurker was there the same night? That was kind of sad. And we'd even posted the plans.

I still picture a pastelito when I think of lembas.

You know, years ago when I went to South America, there were several things like that which were wrapped in leaves that made me think of lembas. At the time I was reading LoTR to Myranda for the first time and we were experiencing all those yummy new foods. Everytime someone gave us something wrapped in leaves we got excited. "LEMBAS" So, we had a fantasy life that we were in Lothlorien for a few weeks.
