The Hobbit Hole III - Journey to the Cross-roads!

Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
Journey to the Cross-roads
The Two Towers Edition
Come on! Come in! -if you would like to have some seedcakes and a pint and relax a while. (If it is a special occasion, we still have a few bottles of the old wineyards left!)
Our first thread ( New Zealander builds Hobbit hole ) reached 4,100 posts, and we thought that was big. Our second thread (The New Hobbit Hole ) held us for over 48,000 posts, and we loved it dearly. We talked about moving to a new thread for the last 38,000 posts, but we are really slow to muster! Finally, the time has come. Tomorrow (at 12:01 am, to be precise!) The Two Towers comes out, and we start a new chapter.

Have you slapped an elf today? No, but I did flame over in the religion wars...
To: RMDupree
And it doesn't really look like Bloom either, which is the whole point for me LOL
To: HairOfTheDog
Sorry, Hair!
I'll change my tagline now.

humph!

Most days I stay away. I was pinged there, and it was really a stupid argument.
Let's just say it made as much sense as saying "Viggo is an airheaded liberal, therefore FOTR and TTT are bad movies..."
To: rightwingreligiousfanatic
I have a question.

there aren't any pictures of Sophia Loren in any TolkienTown booksLOL! Oh, well... how about Luthien? Or Galadriel? ;)
I'm looking to fill some holes in my "History of Middle-Earth" hardcover collection... we have a local bookstore here that has some of the volumes but not all of them, so I've had to buy some in paperback.
I'm reading Volume VI now, "The Return of the Shadow", the first book dealing with the writing of LOTR... it is fascinating! Frodo was originally named Bingo, Strider was a Hobbit named Trotter, and Treebeard was evil!

That is slapping her around a bit... Yeah, I kinda elf-slapped her.
To: RMDupree; HairOfTheDog
I have never properly understood what qualifies as SPAM. Maybe Hair can clarify?

Am I supposed to be working today? It's too cold to work today....
To: Corin Stormhands
He ditched the hobbit/Trotter idea on the Pass at Caradhras when he became as big a liability as the other hobbits.
To: rightwingreligiousfanatic
It's too cold to work today.... Well, that explains it.
