The Hobbit Hole III - Journey to the Cross-roads!

Posted on 12/17/2002 7:32:02 AM PST by HairOfTheDog

Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!

Journey to the Cross-roads

The Two Towers Edition

Come on! Come in! -if you would like to have some seedcakes and a pint and relax a while. (If it is a special occasion, we still have a few bottles of the old wineyards left!)

Our first thread ( New Zealander builds Hobbit hole ) reached 4,100 posts, and we thought that was big. Our second thread (The New Hobbit Hole ) held us for over 48,000 posts, and we loved it dearly. We talked about moving to a new thread for the last 38,000 posts, but we are really slow to muster! Finally, the time has come. Tomorrow (at 12:01 am, to be precise!) The Two Towers comes out, and we start a new chapter.

Everytime I try to write lyrics, it always ends up being about my cat.

Yes! I saw the review! Your assessment of the Susato is just like mine. I love it but nearly pass out playing it. It's why I like my Mack Hoover. It's as loud, but takes half the breath.

I almost bought a Sweettone yesterday, but I don't care for the conical whistles...I like my cylindrical type! I seriously believe it's just because that's what I started with.

Did you see these? Lord help me, I love them, especially the Summer's Evening with Stars (which reminds me of Eowyn's mantle). Of course they are hugely expensive.

Hehehehe...I like my conical whistles...it's what I started with! (and they have a more breathy, mellow sound.)

I am going to fix me one of those right now!!

Or at least a sirloin that I put in the fridge last night...if it's defrosted!

Your cybermeals taste great, but just don't fill me up, if you know what I mean!! ;-)

Heh...I looked at those elf songs briefly and decided I'd better not look too long!

The Sweetones don't sound like typical conical whistles, from what I can tell. Not so breathy - and they have a normal plastic mouthpiece. But then...you have Megs, so maybe you already have an idea what they're like!

Well, the sirloin wasn't defrosted, so I'll make it for supper tonight. I settled for a left-over baked porkchop with rice and gravy. It was supposed to be Steve's lunch, but I can't be held responsible if he forgets it or neglects to take it!
