The Hobbit Hole III - Journey to the Cross-roads!

Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
Journey to the Cross-roads
The Two Towers Edition
Come on! Come in! -if you would like to have some seedcakes and a pint and relax a while. (If it is a special occasion, we still have a few bottles of the old wineyards left!)
Our first thread ( New Zealander builds Hobbit hole ) reached 4,100 posts, and we thought that was big. Our second thread (The New Hobbit Hole ) held us for over 48,000 posts, and we loved it dearly. We talked about moving to a new thread for the last 38,000 posts, but we are really slow to muster! Finally, the time has come. Tomorrow (at 12:01 am, to be precise!) The Two Towers comes out, and we start a new chapter.

Heh, I have a spreadsheet set up with the last month's daily number of posts... I just put in the latest post number, and it tells me how many we've done today, and how far we have left to go.
I'm such a nerd.

Same here... no movies to see this weekend, but we'll be going out a little later to do some shopping (fun stuff, not grocery shopping). And, we got the special edition DVD of "Fight Club" earlier this week, have been waiting to watch it. Looking forward to that!

I just got back from my walk..... went 5 times around the pasture! Wished I had brought my camera with me today, because the cat came along. My half-blind fat cat never leaves porch, but lately, my walks have piqued his interest.... he has been following me further and further around..... he will hug the treeline because the horses chase him, and sometimes he will stop and just wait for me to come around again because I go to fast. But today he went way out there! - We must have looked a sight, if anyone were watching, dog in the lead, followed by me, followed by a cat, followed by a horse that was just curious enough to tail along the rear.
I ran in and grabbed the camera in time to catch the trailers coming in.

We were supposed to go out tonight but that's off. Tomorrow night, it looks like!
We're planning on going to the farmer's market tomorrow! Finally I found someone that sells farm fresh eggs!

Hi Hair!
Since I don't know if my little chat with God helped Miss Rosie the other day, maybe I can perform one worthwhile service. Miss Ruthie, I doubt you're old enough to remember Little Eva. Anyway, I am going to help you all get that Locomotion song out of your heads. Ready?
Running Bear
Loved little White Dove...
You're welcome!

I love farmer's markets. We have a little one here...it's still very early in the season here, though. Mostly people are selling last year's preserves and some plants and greens. Most vegetables won't be along until later.
Oh, and there's a homeschooling family that sells fresh breads and muffins and other baked goods. Reallllly good breads!

I just remembered to tell you guys that at lunch time I went to Blockbuster and purchased a copy of TTT - when it comes in.

Heh, that sounds cool! Maybe the cat has decided he needs to lose weight.
Where was the other horse, though?
To: Argh
I don't know that one.
But somehow it triggered another gets-horribly-stuck kinda song. Wolverton Mountain. Hoo-boy.

I don't know whether to thank you or not... that got rid of "Locomotion", but I don't like the song "Running Bear" either!
To: Argh
Don't know that one. And for that, I am truly thankful!

Now, I like "Wolverton Mountain"! But, I can't remember it well enough to unstick "Running Bear"!
