Our first thread ( New Zealander builds Hobbit hole ) reached 4,100 posts, and we thought that was big. Our second thread (The New Hobbit Hole ) held us for over 48,000 posts, and we loved it dearly. We talked about moving to a new thread for the last 38,000 posts, but we are really slow to muster! Finally, the time has come. Tomorrow (at 12:01 am, to be precise!) The Two Towers comes out, and we start a new chapter.

By the way, do you play the LOTR trading card game?No, so far I've only looked at the pictures. My son plays the Magic the Gathering game. I keep hoping he'll read the instructions and teach me. We will get around to it. Been really busy since Christmas. Do you play it?

I was supposed to go to Austin for the opening of TTT, but instead my daughter came down here. We did buy tickets for that one ahead of time! Glad we did too. If you schedule an Entmoot in Austin I will come!

I know where most of the suburbs are - I lived here for three years before moving to AZ temporarily. Feels good to be back though. A lot of people think I'm wierd when I say this, but I actually enjoy winter. I love the variety of seasons up here.

Ok so you've lived here before..then you know what you are in for! Actually I do like winter...it used to be my favorite season. But I've just grown tired of commuting in bad weather. That's what I hate about winter. Everything else I'm fine with. I'm just sick of driving in it!
