Our first thread ( New Zealander builds Hobbit hole ) reached 4,100 posts, and we thought that was big. Our second thread (The New Hobbit Hole ) held us for over 48,000 posts, and we loved it dearly. We talked about moving to a new thread for the last 38,000 posts, but we are really slow to muster! Finally, the time has come. Tomorrow (at 12:01 am, to be precise!) The Two Towers comes out, and we start a new chapter.

Oh, good! Am glad to know the Quicktime fix worked.
Suzi, IOTN had the same problem viewing the trailer as you did, audio but no video. Uninstalling Quicktime and installing the latest version fixed the problem.

You know what my problem with Free Republic is, and why I sometimes dont come as often as Id like? The inability to access Bookmarks. I bookmark various threads Id like to stay on top of, but if Im not posting at least once every day, and getting some kind of response, the thread doesnt stay where I can find it...and there doesnt seem to be feature to access the bookmarks. Has that feature been eliminated?
Free Republic is confusing sometimes.
