Come on! Come in! -if you would like to have some seedcakes and a pint and relax a while. (If it is a special occasion, we still have a few bottles of the old wineyards left!)
Our first thread ( New Zealander builds Hobbit hole ) reached 4,100 posts, and we thought that was big. Our second thread (The New Hobbit Hole ) held us for over 48,000 posts, and we loved it dearly. We talked about moving to a new thread for the last 38,000 posts, but we are really slow to muster! Finally, the time has come. Tomorrow (at 12:01 am, to be precise!) The Two Towers comes out, and we start a new chapter.

G' Morning Hair,
My news isn't so good today. Samwise Jr. blew out her knee at gymnastics Wednesday. We spent the night in the ER and spent yesterday at the Ortho doc's office. She tore her ACL. She has an MRI scheduled for tomorrow. I never heard of an ACL before. She probably needs surgery, but it is "controversial" at her age.
I am amzingly calm.

I am glad you are calm..... It doesn't help to not be! She's young and I hope bounces right back, with or without surgery.
I have been there, with blown up knee.... I bet it hurts. Our prayers for her recovery Samwise... How old is she?

Found your "Freeper" lessons interesting and found myself praying to God that I would not do or be that.
So I will try to dot my "i's" and cross my "t's" and not become one of the "10 Most Wanted" or unwanted, ect."
But if I slip, and being the frail, fleshly creation that I am, I prob. will, it is not out of a spirit to undermine this website or obtain some high maintaince following. Gads...I can hardly take care of myself. It would be due to just being plain stupid at times. So in the prob event that that may happen, I offer the following in advance as a plea for those times...
It's a statement that the lead singer and writer from the group, "Jars Of Clay" issued after he had been criticized for a lyric he wrote:
“So consider this both a humble apology and a gentle rebuke. I am sorry we have caused some of you undue squirming. To others, If you are simply looking for ways that we fail to please everyone in our lyrics, in our lives, then you will never have to look too far...I am a sinner, I am human, and I rely fully on God's grace and mercy every minute of my life to redeem what is broken and wasted on fleshly crap.
If you have found yourself in the habit of being a whistle blower for Jesus, I suggest you look closer at the Gospel and start blowing a different whistle. Perhaps one that makes the announcement about where God is working, where truth is reigning, and where Christ blood is atoning, rather than picking easy human targets to complain about.
The truth will set you free...not our vain attempts to point out all of our short comings. I was probably 13.... I wrecked my knee breaking and training a pony for some people... He threw me and my foot stuck in the stirrup upside down.... He drug and yanked me for a few bounces before he could shake me loose.
I didn't have any surgery.... I would say, yes, I am recovered, though when I do athletic things, that knee is the one that tires first before anything else on my body. I messed up the same knee again skiing a few years later. You bounce back from stuff when you are young, she doesn't even have her adult knees yet.
