Our first thread ( New Zealander builds Hobbit hole ) reached 4,100 posts, and we thought that was big. Our second thread (The New Hobbit Hole ) held us for over 48,000 posts, and we loved it dearly. We talked about moving to a new thread for the last 38,000 posts, but we are really slow to muster! Finally, the time has come. Tomorrow (at 12:01 am, to be precise!) The Two Towers comes out, and we start a new chapter.

BTW, the charges for over-nighting and guaranteeing delivery of Frodo was 21.07 USPS. I didn't check UPS as the nearest place was pretty far to drive. It could be they are less expensive. If I had 2-day Priority mailed it, would have been 7.15 but no guarantees. 5-day would have been 5.71 and would not be guaranteed, and might have taken up to 10 days. 21 bucks was not too bad. I am sure he will have it tomorrow, and I'll make that up skipping lunch a couple of days. No problem there :) after a Dupree breakfast.

Good! I hardly notice the fault in my vision unless I'm looking for it...which means it's still there, but I'm adjusting to it. I did notice it last night while Steve and I were struggling over the bills...so much fine print reading that my eyes got tired. Steve took over that part though...without missing a beat.
He is such a good guy. He even knows just when to repeat something when I didn't hear it!
