The Hobbit Hole III - Journey to the Cross-roads!
Posted on 12/17/2002 7:32:02 AM PST by HairOfTheDog
Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
Journey to the Cross-roads
The Two Towers Edition
Come on! Come in! -if you would like to have some seedcakes and a pint and relax a while. (If it is a special occasion, we still have a few bottles of the old wineyards left!)
Our first thread ( New Zealander builds Hobbit hole ) reached 4,100 posts, and we thought that was big. Our second thread (The New Hobbit Hole ) held us for over 48,000 posts, and we loved it dearly. We talked about moving to a new thread for the last 38,000 posts, but we are really slow to muster! Finally, the time has come. Tomorrow (at 12:01 am, to be precise!) The Two Towers comes out, and we start a new chapter.

That's a pic of a troll, not a dwarf.I know. But it's Friday and I am caught up on work, and feeling a little saucy (jalapeno) in anticipation of my field trip to Mexico tomorrow.
To: Corin Stormhands
Don't worry 'bout the 67%. The elves would score higher than that...but they have a tendency to cheat on the tests... Or in Elrond's case, make someone else take it for 'em. Cheating on tests is required because we have to fight in battle with dwarves who steal our kills.

"Yeah, we need to keep the News/Activism side open for important, breaking stories like: Germany's legendary dog-eating catfish found dead."
Oh- like that's NOT news!?!
To: Corin Stormhands
Funny, but I was thinking about that little guy earlier, and on the other thread. You know the one. He would look right fine there too! He is soo cute.
To: Destructor
Who made you the decision maker on what's news and what's not news? If the catfish ate your dog it would be news to you.

I have to take guest-dog to the vets. Made an appointment with his vet at 2:30.
I think he's plugged up.

I think the right answer, at this point, is to stop eating salad, or anything that requires a utensil. Salad doesn't require a utensil in my life. It tastes fresher if you eat it with your fingers.

Hair: did the mail arrive yet? So, did you actually come up with a real scheme to get her over her mailbox phobia or something?

I have had my friend's old labrador that I keep from time to time... He's not feeling well.... started last night. He's lethargic and he won't eat. Last night he was sortof dry-heaving, but he isn't doing that now. I am a little bit afraid he got into some yucky gauze that had Betadine on it that was in my garbage. That might plug him up.... no tellin what happens from eating Betadine.
He's on his last legs.... I don't want him to crash on my watch - especially with the weekend coming.
