Come on! Come in! -if you would like to have some seedcakes and a pint and relax a while. (If it is a special occasion, we still have a few bottles of the old wineyards left!)

Our first thread ( New Zealander builds Hobbit hole ) reached 4,100 posts, and we thought that was big. Our second thread (The New Hobbit Hole ) held us for over 48,000 posts, and we loved it dearly. We talked about moving to a new thread for the last 38,000 posts, but we are really slow to muster! Finally, the time has come. Tomorrow (at 12:01 am, to be precise!) The Two Towers comes out, and we start a new chapter.

I tried to take the geek test, but it was so long! I don't think I am geeky enough to even take the test! HA!

I guess I will be flamed for spelling "Hobbit" wrong in it. I have rather bad eye-sight.

I just got in...my dad went to play golf, so we're not going to look at trailers yet...which is a good thing.

The good news...They dilated my right eye, that got hit. The retina is fine...no problems that could have happened from hard whack in the eye. The bad news...My cornea has a "divet" taken out of it...which is causing the blurry vision. They are going to give it two weeks to repair it's self, then they are going to give steroid drops a try.

He also said my eyes were very dry and that was contributing to the problem...so he put me on eye drops 4=6 times a day.

I hope it clears up in less than the two weeks 2J!

Keeping ya in prayer, 2J. Hopefully it'll clear up pretty quickly, with the help of the drops! Maybe because your eyes have been dry, things haven't healed as quickly as they would normally, and it's no big deal.

That's what they are thinking. Dry eyes didn't help matters. Personally, I think it's just a scar in there...I suspect with time it'll go away or I'll just adjust to it. But I figure if there is something I can do or they can do to make it go away, I might as well let them try.

With my eye dialated, I had a heck of a time driving over to my moms. I can barely see what I'm typing so I probably should get off line.

We will be going to Universal at some point too! - I don't know, first time I have heard of the idea.

Christopher Tolkien would definately not approve, if he has Veto power. I don't know if he does or not.

I only got a 24 on the geek test. My geekiness is fairly concentrated on LotR and lower-level techie stuff. I've never really been into Star Trek, Star Wars or roleplaying games, which a lot of the questions seem to focus on.
