Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
Journey to the Cross-roads
The Two Towers Edition
Come on! Come in! -if you would like to have some seedcakes and a pint and relax a while. (If it is a special occasion, we still have a few bottles of the old wineyards left!)
Our first thread ( New Zealander builds Hobbit hole ) reached 4,100 posts, and we thought that was big. Our second thread (The New Hobbit Hole ) held us for over 48,000 posts, and we loved it dearly. We talked about moving to a new thread for the last 38,000 posts, but we are really slow to muster! Finally, the time has come. Tomorrow (at 12:01 am, to be precise!) The Two Towers comes out, and we start a new chapter.

Backgammon has to be on the list!
To: HairOfTheDog
Don't worry, I'll put the "official" to-do list on the website. ;-D

I've seen that Big Chill movie, I don't remember it very well. I guess it didn't make too much of an impression on me.

Think I'll go out and stare at the ocean during that event.

Wanted to smack every character in it at least once... some of them two or three times. HEY! - I resemble some of those characters - at some point or another!
I'm trying to keep an open mind about this movie. But, Jeff Goldbloom and what Bear said aren't helping.

Oh - I love the movie because it is like so many groups of friends.... that drift apart and come back together years later for a reunion. I love those because we don't always get those reunions... Sometimes we don't get around to the reunion, and sometimes it takes a funeral.

I'd think ya'll would be getting tired of backgammon by now.

Then we'll think of something else to do!

Wanted to smack every character in it at least once... some of them two or three times. HEY! - I resemble some of those characters - at some point or another! You mean OBM talking to Winmag about the knives. Yes, I like knives.
Did you tell Ramius about this chat/view? Is he around to view too?

What? [grin]
To: Wneighbor; Ramius
Ramius can you get home by 7:00 to chat-view the big chill?
To: Wneighbor
Ramius and I argue about which character we are.... We both think we are the same character in the group.
To: RosieCotton
I'm also mad about Haldir.Yeah, I remember in the books I thought he was soo cool. Then in the movie, I wondered why they even bothered to include him in such a small way, especially in TTT.
To: HairOfTheDog; Ramius
Ramius and I argue about which character we are.... We both think we are the same character in the group. Rolling this one around in the mind for a bit. Mentally ruminating. Are you both male or are you both female?
