Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
Journey to the Cross-roads
The Two Towers Edition
Come on! Come in! -if you would like to have some seedcakes and a pint and relax a while. (If it is a special occasion, we still have a few bottles of the old wineyards left!)
Our first thread ( New Zealander builds Hobbit hole ) reached 4,100 posts, and we thought that was big. Our second thread (The New Hobbit Hole ) held us for over 48,000 posts, and we loved it dearly. We talked about moving to a new thread for the last 38,000 posts, but we are really slow to muster! Finally, the time has come. Tomorrow (at 12:01 am, to be precise!) The Two Towers comes out, and we start a new chapter.

That's great about JenB!
What was your favorite part of the movie. I really did love that little Smeagol. He broke my heart.

OOPS!! Sorry for the double post!

Then you will like Sam/Frodo/Gollum scenes. All three actors do a fantastic job.

You know, there were so many parts that I just loved...like they were taken right out of my head. I must say, I gasped when I saw Gandalf and the balrog plunge into that gigantic underground lake. It was just visually spectacular. And I liked all the times Frodo became overcome, but most of all when the wraith flew over and he was cringing under the bush with Sam. The flashback of the Witch King stabbing him was a great effect...I felt the fearfulness! The wraiths were fantastic...I could just go on and on because every minute had a "favorite part" in it, just about!

Do you still need your medicine?

Actually, I'm doing quite well! My heartbeat maintained a regular rhythm the entire day yesterday and I was giddy and excited, but not hysterical!
You know, when I got married I was so excited up until the day of the wedding...then I became very calm. Happy, but calm and alert. That's how I felt last night. Steve was on his best behavior and I enjoyed being with him. (Except once during the movie he started scratching his beard right by my only good ear and I had to elbow him! All I could hear was "scritch scritch" LOL)
I didn't want to miss a second and I don't think I did. JameRetief was there and testify to my behavior. What a great time to spend with a fellow freeper!

Sharp and shiny!
But I am weary from these orc battles....
Good to be back!

I didn't see that scene of Gimli in the movie last night. Think it's from ROTK?
To: carton253
A stupendous review, as usual, carton. Thanks! I can't wait...but I have to until Sunday.... Oh well, all the talk here will keep me going till then!
Keep up the good fight and good luck on your grades.
Not that luck has anything to do with it.... 8^)

Did you get to hear "Gollum's Song"?Didn't get to stay. Time crunch. Hubby took time off work to go and had to hurry back. Will stay and listen when we go on Christmas.
