Our first thread ( New Zealander builds Hobbit hole ) reached 4,100 posts, and we thought that was big. Our second thread (The New Hobbit Hole ) held us for over 48,000 posts, and we loved it dearly. We talked about moving to a new thread for the last 38,000 posts, but we are really slow to muster! Finally, the time has come. Tomorrow (at 12:01 am, to be precise!) The Two Towers comes out, and we start a new chapter.

Sounds like they gave you some Versed...it inhibits short term memory. You experience everything, but, depending on the dose, you remember very little from one minute to the next...and in my case, I didn't remember a thing.

I'm looking for a crank ice cream maker at the thrift stores...bound to be one somewhere! When I find one, the time will draw near for a visit! I mentioned it to Steve the other day and he seemed open to the idea!

Sam has been rolling his food dish around the kitchen. So far tho, he hasn't eaten the cat food. We put it up on a stool. He can still reach it, but I think he knows it's not his...

And those Barred Rocks look just like my Jar Jar at that age! If they are anything like Jar Jar, they are gentle tame birds and would be good with you kids, if they hold them a lot.

Jar Jar and one of the Buff orpingtons (Benny Hen) are the most social of our two...very sweet birds that will come up and perch on my lap if I am sitting in the yard.

I laugh again at your paranoia and trying to stay awake.

When I had my wisdom teeth pulled, they were giving me nitrus oxide gas, and I started having these paranoid (or were they? ;~D) delusions that something wasn't right and they were gonna do something to me as soon as I had passed out (Don't ask me what would have been worse than what I was paying them to do to me!) Heh...

Anyhow, I was fighting to stay awake, fighting really hard.... and fighting this uncontrollable smile that was on my face from the gas. I didn't want them to think I was fooled for a minute. I didn't want to smile. I can't imagine how contorted and weird I looked! I am sure you'll understand!

He's happy now.... fed and put to bed. He has a temper! This morning because I woke up late, he had pooped in his water bucket. I didn't notice that till tonight when I was cleanin stalls to put him in!

It wasn't paranoia, it was too much knowledge...she did it WRONG and I knew it and she knew it. Pushing Versed into someone too fast can cause cardiac arrest...really, injecting any medicine too fast can...the only exception I can think of is perhaps an emergency situation.

The second nurse did it right.

Okay, it took a while. No good photos of my kayak. So here is one of it sitting in the garage floor. Except I can't get in a place to get the whole thing in the photo. But, you can see it. It is used looking. Because it is used. Because I like it.
