The Hobbit Hole III - Journey to the Cross-roads!

Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
Journey to the Cross-roads
The Two Towers Edition
Come on! Come in! -if you would like to have some seedcakes and a pint and relax a while. (If it is a special occasion, we still have a few bottles of the old wineyards left!)
Our first thread ( New Zealander builds Hobbit hole ) reached 4,100 posts, and we thought that was big. Our second thread (The New Hobbit Hole ) held us for over 48,000 posts, and we loved it dearly. We talked about moving to a new thread for the last 38,000 posts, but we are really slow to muster! Finally, the time has come. Tomorrow (at 12:01 am, to be precise!) The Two Towers comes out, and we start a new chapter.

Nope, not showing up for me anymore, either.
I have an egg out on the asphault in the front of our house...I'm gonna give it some time, see if it'll cook!

Is it warm in Austin too?
Did you get enough water for your lawn last week? I am daily trying just to keep my desireable plants alive. The grass is now brown.

Oh there it is! 102 now! The time changed on it, so it must have been going through the process of changing...
Can you see it now?

We don't get so hot in summer -- usually it gets up to about 92, depending on how many thunderstorms we get each day. It usually gets down below 75 at night, which is better than the shore area does.
To: 2Jedismom
Yeah, I can see it now.

I'm out of here too...have to fix dinner and I just got my four free books that came with my new membership in "The History Book Club". Ya'll have a good 'em. May stop by later if hubby passes out after dinner.

Sigh...
It's hot here.

It does get up to about 100 in May, before the thunderstorms start.

I miss Austin. Do you miss it too?

Nice snaig skivvy-boy. I was distracted by the straight (that I also didn't get) and by a phone call. Wife just left the vets.
Dog has colitis. And is 20 lbs. overweight!. We knew he had gained (three months of rain, he couldn't go outside).
But we have an anti-biotic and a special diet food...and $125 less than we had this morning...But it should clear up in about a week.

Is it warm in Austin too?I have no idea... I haven't been outside since 8:30 this morning. It was 82 degrees then, so I suppose it's in the mid-to-high 90s now. I only manage to live in Texas thanks to air conditioning.
Last week, our lawn had enough water. This week, we'll have to put out the sprinkler.

Just checked, it's only 90 here today...
Gotta run. See y'all later.
To: Wneighbor
Not really. Tulsa is much like it, except with conservative people. The people are generally decent generous people. Real neighborly.

This week, we'll have to put out the sprinkler. I hate doing that.
as evidenced by the short brown straw looking stuff covering my lawn.

Do dogs get colitis? So what do the vets prescribe for that, and for that matter, how did they find out...maybe I don't want to know.
