Come on! Come in! -if you would like to have some seedcakes and a pint and relax a while. (If it is a special occasion, we still have a few bottles of the old wineyards left!)
Our first thread ( New Zealander builds Hobbit hole ) reached 4,100 posts, and we thought that was big. Our second thread (The New Hobbit Hole ) held us for over 48,000 posts, and we loved it dearly. We talked about moving to a new thread for the last 38,000 posts, but we are really slow to muster! Finally, the time has come. Tomorrow (at 12:01 am, to be precise!) The Two Towers comes out, and we start a new chapter.

Yeah, it's partly hellish, becoming more hellish by late afternoon, with decreasing hell by evening. We can expect more of the same tommorrow, and the next day, and the next...
We went to a concert Saturday and the two opening bands made the usual comment on our humid, hot weather. The next group opened with "It is always a 'priviledge' to play here in Houston." What's funny was when he was asking for help for those dying in Africa, he said "It's always a 'priviledge' to help those dying in Africa".
So I guess doing an outdoor concert in Houston in the middle of summer is like mission work in Africa. My daugher and I got a good laugh from that one...as we tried not to pass out.

Long day huh? I read your report on it. And I thought.... hmmm... I love all day outdoor concerts. But, I think the last one I did was about 8 years ago. So, I'm not sure anymore.
I stayed out yesterday afternoon at a ministy event in Ft. Worth. It was 106! No wonder I didn't feel all "up" to ministry as much as normal.

I think it's somewhere around 64,000
(I miss LCS!)I guess somebody needs to remind folks to get the next thread ready to start after the Implosion!! It will likely be fall before I get my computer -- I have a number of expensive visits to the dentist coming up!
