Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
Journey to the Cross-roads
The Two Towers Edition
Come on! Come in! -if you would like to have some seedcakes and a pint and relax a while. (If it is a special occasion, we still have a few bottles of the old wineyards left!)
Our first thread ( New Zealander builds Hobbit hole ) reached 4,100 posts, and we thought that was big. Our second thread (The New Hobbit Hole ) held us for over 48,000 posts, and we loved it dearly. We talked about moving to a new thread for the last 38,000 posts, but we are really slow to muster! Finally, the time has come. Tomorrow (at 12:01 am, to be precise!) The Two Towers comes out, and we start a new chapter.

A few details on the quiver, a fellow Mo-Jammer, Sal, from Cal. gifted me the quiver. It is Yuca cactus, which as been cut, hollowed out and dried. The bottom is covered with rawhide, it has beadwork around the top, and antler button with turkey feathers. The arrows are bamboo, with self-nocks and turkey feather fletching, field points. Each is truly a work of a fine craftsman. All that saw it were clamoring for one- Legolas: eat your heart out. The bow in my hand in the gifting picture is bamboo backed osage. 68" tall. That is the bow I shot in the clout shoot. The recurve is osage, with a walnut handle and leather arrow shelf. That is the one I used when I shot the 3-D. I had arrived back at the pavilion end when I ran into the G'nads.
I just love reading your descriptions of those things! It is like reading poetry! Reposting the pics here so I can read it and look at the pictures at the same time!

Totally...again sorry.
To: 2Jedismom
Even on Ecurb's webpage, although you can see his name in a few pictures, Ecurb never refers to him by name.Oh, I didn't even think about that. I can blur it out in Photoshop.

I don't know if it really matters...they won't turn up in a search...

Hullo back.
Thanks for the reply. What is "Paypal"? Maybe that would be the best way to contribute to the "overseas outreaches" going on here at the Hobbbit Hole. Prob won't get a knife for myself, but will send in a contribution for one for our guys if it is still needed. At least I will feel like I'm doing SOMETHING for them.

Paypal is an online way of sending money from your account to another person's account using email address.... It is legit, and that is how I sent the $$$ to 2J for the other packages... It is easier than sending checks in the mail.
It takes a few days to get set up though... you have to enter your account information, and they make a test deposit of a few cents to confirm your account exists, then you have to respond after that deposit to confirm you belong to the account, before you can use it. So it is a little cumbersome to get started, after that it is easy.
You will just have to ask WN for her email address.

Theoden and Aragorn just rode out of the keep on horses.... They are at risk of tripping on a falling orc.

I guess I'm not thinking. I've gotten a bit more "loose", since the end of "the dark ages" (the end of Clinton presidency). Not using wisdom. As we are seeing, they're still there, (God only knows who else) and we are feeling the effects of what is to come, esp. if Hill runs for 2004, as some are saying. Prob. this "paypal" would be best.

Mine just finished.
I sent the picture of Osage and g'nad to the chaplain.
I'm gonna log off and watch a DVD!! Wooohooo, Thanks OT!

I will post a joke now, before I go.
This joke relates to "The Chicken Dance". Steve and I hate the thing. We think it is incredibly stupid and embarrassing to chickens even. Anyway, we were telling Matthew our opinion of the Chicken Dance and impressing on him that just because a bunch of people get up and make fools of themselves doesn't mean he has to...
He listened intently but made no comment.
Two days later, he told this joke...
"What is more stupid than the Chicken Dance?"
"Bill Clinton doing the Chicken Dance!"
ROFLOL!!! I loved it!!

Is the Chicken Dance the same as the Funky Chicken?

We think it is incredibly stupid and embarrassing to chickens even. I am afraid I know not of this chicken dance you speak of! LOL!

But no one actually performs the Chicken Dance on that site? Doesn't sound like the Funky Chicken.
