Come on! Come in! -if you would like to have some seedcakes and a pint and relax a while. (If it is a special occasion, we still have a few bottles of the old wineyards left!)
Our first thread ( New Zealander builds Hobbit hole ) reached 4,100 posts, and we thought that was big. Our second thread (The New Hobbit Hole ) held us for over 48,000 posts, and we loved it dearly. We talked about moving to a new thread for the last 38,000 posts, but we are really slow to muster! Finally, the time has come. Tomorrow (at 12:01 am, to be precise!) The Two Towers comes out, and we start a new chapter.

I'll post a pic, with Winmag's permission...
On the guinea front; got three chicks to put with the keeks... chickens are calmer than guineas, and "herd" easier... the guineas tend to follow their lead... got three Barred Rocks, a little bigger than the guineas... we were hopin' that they' be okay, what with the ninja guineas outnumberin' 'em and all... there were a few tense moments at first, but they're gettin' along fine... went back a few hours later and they were all in a pile nappin'... fer some reason I started hummin' Ebony and Ivory...
the guineas are already gettin' their wing feathers... still aggressive as heck...

Went over to the site and did some "speed reading" since I have to go. It looks great. Will go back for a more indept viewing. Read this from the site and thought it was good.

Okay, I went and read the replies to this and now I'm crying again. I am pretty - i dunno - words......
But, let me throw in my 2 cents. It is really so awesome that this suggestion has come forward and had agreement but one thing ---
...remember, one reason we adopted the 82nd was because the guys in Afghanistan were kind of getting lost in the Iraqi shuffle. And for all we know, our Renegade Chaplain may provide us with information about the successors of the 82nd. Don't ya'll think we ought to see if that happens? I mean, I would love to have all this happen to Tom and his platoon.... and I know Tom would be ecstatic for his guys too.... and he is sharing his packages with a lot more than his platoon because of Lawn Chair Club (LCC) but, I also don't want to be selfish.
