Our first thread ( New Zealander builds Hobbit hole ) reached 4,100 posts, and we thought that was big. Our second thread (The New Hobbit Hole ) held us for over 48,000 posts, and we loved it dearly. We talked about moving to a new thread for the last 38,000 posts, but we are really slow to muster! Finally, the time has come. Tomorrow (at 12:01 am, to be precise!) The Two Towers comes out, and we start a new chapter.

Very cool 2J! Are you going to put up a pole? - I think I would love to fly it, on special occasions, I would hate to wear it out. I would get a different one to fly every day. I just don't have a pole, and I think it is tacky to hang a flag on my old trailer. I might as will just move the couch onto the porch! It needs a dignified spot.... a pole in the middle of the pasture perhaps.

Well, it's huge...or at least mine is. I don't see flying it off the front of my house. I imagine I'll have mine folded back up by someone that knows how and then display it in a case with the certificate.

In other news, I just found out from a co-worker that the reason we're having a meeting is that she and the bossman's secretary suggested to him that we do something together as an office...like a potluck lunch.
He said, "No. Let's just have a meeting."
I swear I am not making this up.

Six out of the 18 contributors have received their flags. The only reason I think someone might not get one is because it got lost in the mail...in which case I think the chaplain would want to know.
That is why I want everyone to let me know when they get theirs...I would think by the end of August, everyone should have.
